Sofitel Wellington appoints new GM

Melissa Shaw has joined Sofitel Wellington as General Manager, bringing decades of experience in the luxury accommodation industry.
Originally from Australia, Melissa’s hotel career spans 20 years, including major international stints in China and Thailand over the years.

Melissa’s illustrious journey with Sofitel, began at Sofitel Brisbane Central in 2005, leading to a series of high-level management positions at Sofitel Werribee Park Mansion Hotel & Spa, Melbourne, Sofitel Shanghai Hyland and Vie Hotel Bangkok MGallery by Sofitel in Thailand.
Melissa says she looks forward to bringing her international experience to Sofitel Wellington and providing a boutique and bespoke guest experience.
