Project Delivery Manager – Tourism

Project Delivery Manager – Tourism

Weta Workshop’s Tourism division is looking for an experienced leader to manage the implementation of its exciting new Auckland experience.

Your focus will be overseeing all facets of all stages of site development and set-up through to completion. A problem-solver by nature, you’ll be directly responsible for the success of all operational departments, ensuring the smooth running of the site. The devil’s in the details, deadlines, and deliverables – and that’s just fine with you, because you’re always one step ahead.

Vendors and visitors. Community and competitors. This role is as much about people as it is about the project, so we’re looking for a skilled communicator with strong leadership experience – a confident, hands-on sort who’s right at home in the thick of the action. Because that’s where the magic happens.

Up for the challenge?

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Successful Project Delivery
  • Stakeholder Liaison
  • Setting up effective systems and controls to ensure the consistent smooth running of the opening and ongoing operation
  • Managing all Human Resources requirements related to the project
  • Overseeing all stages of site development and set-up

You’ll need to have:

  • Strong Project Management experience especially in relation to the opening of a new venture or experience
  • Strong relationship management and leadership skills
  • Effective communication both orally and in writing
  • Strong financial literacy required

We’re also looking for:

  • Proven experience in pre-opening/delivering a new business or experience
  • Experience managing complex projects of varying scale (in the entertainment/Tourism area would be an advantage)
