Christchurch Airport, iFLY Indoor Skydiving, and Kohutapu Lodge & Tribal Tours have scooped multiple nominations in this year’s New Zealand Tourism Awards.

The 2022 New Zealand Tourism Awards will be held in Kirikiriroa Hamilton on 10 November following the Tourism Summit Aotearoa.

More than 115 entries were received across the individual and business awards including the new Regenerative Tourism Award, with 35 making the shortlist.

Christchurch Airport and Kohutapu Lodge & Tribal Tours led the nominations with three apiece, followed by Queenstown’s iFLY Indoor Skydiving with two.

“What has been achieved in the last 12 months is nothing short of extraordinary,” said Rebecca Ingram, chief executive of Tourism Industry Aotearoa, which organises the awards.

“Judges said the high quality of this year’s entries was a strong statement on the calibre of the people that we have in the tourism industry.”
