Christchurch Convention Centre

Christchurch has won the right to host the Federation of Asian and Oceanian Biochemists and Molecular Biologists (FAOBMB) conference, which will bring 900 biochemists to the city.

The message to conference organisers is loud and clear – Christchurch will soon be back on the national and international conferencing circuit on a much larger scale.

The flexibility and location of the new Christchurch Convention Centre will be the key to its success.

CPB Contractors, owned by Australia’s CIMIC Group, has secured the contract to complete the design and build the $240m Christchurch Convention Centre.

Landmark architectural designs for the Christchurch Centre have been released showcasing the 2000-delegate capacity venue.
