Sales & Marketing Coordinator – Tauhara North Tourism

Tauhara North Tourism, owned by Tauhara North No 2 Trust, offers award winning, immersive visitor experiences.

We are passionate about preserving Māori culture, working in harmony with Te Taiao (natural environment), and sharing world class tourism experiences. 

As Sales and Marketing Coordinator, you’ll be instrumental in supporting our sales and marketing team in executing approved strategies, tactics, and KPIs.

Your administrative expertise will be crucial in managing sales calls, confirming and attending appointments, maintaining a network of extensive databases, and ensuring all updated product information for the Tauhara North Tourism suite of products is updated with all industry partners. 

Your efforts will ensure that Tauhara North Tourism businesses remain highly visible and well-represented in the local and global market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the sales and marketing team to develop call plans, seasonal famil programs, and sales call itineraries.
  • Managing Tauhara North Tourism’s online presence. 
  • Ensuring Tauhara North Tourism businesses are seen and heard in the local market, via the I-site, Regional Tourism Organisations, community, accommodation, and retail sectors. 
  • Promoting a tourism whānau culture aligned with Tauhara values.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with operational teams of each Tauhara tourism operating teams.
  • Supporting the preparation of the sales and marketing activity budgets.
  • Providing monthly reports on progress towards targets.

Key Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration.
  • Prior work experience in the tourism or hospitality sector, ideally in a marketing or sales role. 
  • Proficiency in Digital Tools and Platforms. 
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, digital marketing platforms, and other technology used in sales and marketing.
  • An appreciation and comprehensive understanding of Te Ao Māori is essential. 
  • Exceptional organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Personal commitment to excellence, honesty, creativity, and integrity.
  • Resilience under pressure and ability to handle multiple demands.
