Luxury hot pools and spa attraction The Lost Spring has appointed Alanna Kline its new chief executive.
Kline joins her father and the company’s founder, Alan Hopping, at the Whitianga business and will lead its commercial operations.
Hopping will continue to be involved at the venture, which opened its doors to the public in January 2009.
“Dad is going to continue to be the “water guy”. He’s a tinkerer at heart and keeping The Lost Spring’s water flowing requires constant attention,” said Kline.
“By coming on board, dad’s got more time to work on the water, grounds and developing the facilities, while I take care of the business side of things.”
Kline said her mission was to build on her father’s dream as they further raised the international standard of The Lost Spring.
Her appointment follows her return home last year from 20 years overseas operating, racing and designing superyachts with her husband and skipper Jonathan Kline.
“Since joining forces, the father and daughter team have expanded the footprint of The Lost Spring’s day spa, which now features a beautiful private deck for spa guests, as well as two brand new, private massage bures,” said the company in a statement today.
The pair have also refreshed The Lost Spring’s brand and relaunched its website. Future developments include further expansion to the treetop day spa, additional massage bures and a new geothermal pool for spa guests.
